my namy is JOHN VIGORITO, i am a member of the NEW YORK CITY FIRE DEPT,, i recently was at a fire in Brooklyn where i cam across a pair of Carl Zeiss binoculars,, they were in fair condition after i took them back to the firhouse and cleaned them up, i was hopeing if i gave you the serial numbers and writings you can tell me the age,, and perhaps how much these things are worth,,, i really like them they seem to be of military issue,, i thank you in advance for any and all help that you may be able to provide,, the information is as follows;;

carl zeiss binoculars serial number identification listing

Per serial number these binoculars were ordered from Zeiss factory in October 1939. The crown and Nr. marking are Swedish military ones. Although Deltrintems are common enough this one is rare and highly collectable especially for Swedish military and Zeiss binocular collectors.

Another nice one. It's a Soviet binocular made in 1970 (first two digits of the serial number) by KOMZ, Kazan Optical Mechanical Factory. Many of these KOMZ 6x24's from this period are super wide angle (11 - 12 degrees field of view) binoculars and highly collectable. I'm not entirely sure but I think this is one of them. 2ff7e9595c
