NOTE! Before you copy a Character to Beta, make sure any items you want to take with your character, are either on the Character or in the Characters primary bank (explained below). This includes Coin! I suggest you take ALL of your coin! Things in your houses, guild hall and shared bank do not copy over. So, if you want to copy something over with your toon, they need to be in you main bank on on your character.

* These things are generally from your settings and are saved on your computer. If you know how, you can copy, paste and rename (not transfer, not move, not cut) from your Live EQ Directory.

If you know how to copy (not move) and rename your character files over, you can get back your UI, Hot Keys and the like. Otherwise, the first thing you need to do is set up your UI to a degree of satisfaction for Beta purposes (Windows, Hot Keys, etc. -- see #2, above).

If you also want to use Personal Trophy Tribute, you can do that as well, by setting up a house and putting Trophies in it.... if you remembered to copy over your Personal Trophies (see #2, above).

However if you did not remember to copy over Personal Trophies, you might find some for sale on the Trophy Test Bot (in Ngreth's Den, aka Crafthalls) and / or Old Man Thorren (in the Plane of Knowledge). You can buy the ones you want from either of those NPC's and then go set up a house and place them!

So, if you have a Bazaar trader, you can copy them over as well, and then set them up in Bazaar to sell while you aren't playing. This is less about making Coin, than it is a service to help other Players, who may be in need of certain items for whatever reasons. This is a Temporary Server after all.

WoW VG copied like 98% of WoW gameplay by copying their UI that's freaking unbelievable isn't it?! I dont even think it looks similar in no big way and it's the standard look of an MMORPG UI (Just like WoW has)

And don't use the UI as proof because it looks like DAoC and AO. In fact everytime I turn on an NFL game I can't help but think that the graphics used to show me the score, down, yardage, and stats looks a lot like WoWs interface, except that network stations were using those layouts before WoW, now isn't that odd?

I personally hope that most games will copy the combo point and stealth features for rogues. WoW did a great job of this. Combo points were a good way of making the rogue a single target focused DPS class. The stealth feature was also a well executed way of balancing stealth and perception.

As a stand-alone application, Block Base+ is an intuitive, easy to use program. You can browse more than 4000 blocks by category. After selecting a block you like, you can print the block, print templates, or print rotary cutting instructions. You can also preview a quilt using that block, with the block set horizontally or on point. Although Block Base + can be used with no additional software, if you do have EQ8, you can import the blocks and use them to design a custom quilt, deciding if you want borders/shashing, and auditioning fabrics and colors. I usually start in Block Base+ to choose a block and get cutting instructions for that block. Then I use that block in EQ8 to decide on the final layout along with fabric choices and color. When I am done on EQ8, I have cutting instructions and fabric yardage, and am ready to start the quilt, knowing in advance exactly what the finished quilt will look like. I highly recommend this product, especially when it is paired with EQ8.

As a new user of Block Base+, I found the historical information on the blocks fascinating. It is fun to see different quilt layouts that are possible for the blocks. The ability to link it to Electric Quilt 8 is a HUGE bonus for me, but it is a great stand alone program as well. Being able to print templates, foundation piecing, and rotary cutting directions for the blocks is amazing! You can even export svg files to use with electronic cutters! What a great program!

Simply press Cmd + D (Mac) or Ctrl + D (Windows) with at least one clip selected. It will then automatically copy and paste the selection directly after the selected clip. This alone will shave off lots of time in your production sessions.

Now, when you hold Shift with any of the duplicates, copy, cut or paste commands, it will also take the time into account. This means if you duplicate an 8-bar phrase, then it will also insert 8 bars as you do it. If you have any content in front, then it gets pushed forward and left intact.
